Literature Text

A man, mid-thirties, sat at his green-topped desk hunched over a laptop computer. His fingers moved frantically, pecking at keys, attempting to reach a goal.

“There’s not much left… If I can just finish this part, I’ll be done. Done with it all!” This man, he wasn’t very rich. In his small abode, he had a cheap television without cable, a refrigerator that came with the place, and a pullout sofa, along with his desk, desk chair, and laptop.

“This is my big break! I’ll finally show my friends, my parents, everyone! I knew writing was the perfect career!” Occasionally, he would stop and sip at a small cup of coffee he had bought at the local restaurant, to go. The computer hurried to put the data that the man had inputted into it’s keyboard. It was it’s only function in his life.

Suddenly, his hands slowed, and he leaned back into his chair, relaxing. “One word left. That’s all. Then I’m done…” He moved his hands off the laptop, cracked a few knuckles, then, with as much purpose as a sculptor making his last chisel, finished typing the last word.
Hrm... The third installment, which is, ironically, the third in the alphabet. Part of Alphabet Soup, the mini-series I started. This one is actually a kind of short one, compared to some of them... Hope you like it!

Well, anyway... Um... A hint? Lemme think... Links. Some of these stories link to others, but don't try to find them. You'll see them, eventually.

Released position 3/26.
